Announcement: Coronavirus Impact on Events
In an effort to protect our members’ health and safety, Sacramento Guitar Society will be postponing most events, including concerts and community orchestra rehearsals. If you purchased tickets for the Muriel Anderson “Wonderlust” concert, please refer to Harris Center’s website for refunds.
Thank you for supporting Sacramento Guitar Society. We hope to return to offering you exciting events soon!
The Sacramento Guitar Society (SGS) is a non-profit educational and arts organization that has existed in one form or another since at least 1961. Now Sacramento boasts one of the more active and successful guitar societies in the country, with “unbelievably good” international touring artists performing in the ideal listening environment of the Harris Center for the Arts at Folsom Lake College, as well as Regional artists performing at the E. Claire Raley Studio for the Performing Arts in Midtown Sacramento, a.k.a. CLARA.
To promote, share, and celebrate the art of the guitar and its music by providing education and performance opportunities to people of diverse cultures, ages, abilities, and economic means.
